2017 had a singular theme and this year it revolved around mountains. Yes, mountains. In each trip, I have either rode or hiked around in the mountains. In another milestone, I have traveled more in this year alone than any other that came before it. So, hurrah! 2016 marks the end of a long-standing dream of mine to explore Southeast Asia, and I couldn't be happier on how the year turned out. 2017 will finally be the year where I can finally push forward and see how far I'll go, but before that, here's 16 of my best travel moments of 2016.

Sri Lanka Itinerary (10 days)

My Camping Trip in Janda Baik, Pahang, Malaysia

I'm known to be a funny person. For someone who has traveled extensively in many countries, sadly I haven't seen much of the inside of my own backyard. Yes, that's right. My own country. Malaysia.

Is there an ulterior motive for writing this now? Well yes and no. But the main reason for this is because I haven't yet reached a level where I can afford a life of constant travel. So the in-betweens of planned trips are often long, sometimes months on end. Needed to take the edge off, so I planned to do a trip somewhere near where I stayed. And the first place I'm gonna visit and blog about is, drum roll please, Janda Baik!

Hsipaw, Inle Lake, Kyaiktiyo & Hpa-An, Myanmar Itinerary (11 days)
